In 2007, after a period of 30 years pursuing her musical career, Brian returned to Imperial College London, to register to complete his doctoral thesis in astrophysics, and after a year, has successfully introduced a new version (things changed a bit since I started writing!) ; of his thesis on interplanetary dust - more specifically the Zodiacal Light.

He holds honorary degrees the Universities of Hertfordshire, Exeter and Liverpool John Moore, Brian in 2007 and finally got the award of a full PhD DIC - Diploma of Imperial College.
